Sophie Turner (Game of Thrones) makes a gripping return to the big screen this summer in Trust, a psychological survival thriller slated for a limited theatrical release on August 22, 2025.

Directed by Carlson Young (Upgraded) and written by Gigi Levangie, Trust is being released by Republic Pictures, with a first-look poster and intense trailer now available for viewing.

In the film, Turner plays a Hollywood star seeking refuge in a secluded mountain cabin—only to discover she’s not alone. After a devastating betrayal by the person she trusted most, her retreat turns into a chilling fight for survival.

The supporting cast includes Rhys Coiro, Billy Campbell, Peter Mensah, Forrest Goodluck, Gianni Paolo, Renata Vaca, and screen legend Katey Sagal.

Behind the scenes, Dan Heffner and Ketura Kestin of Twisted Pictures serve as executive producers, alongside Lena Roklin of Luber Roklin Entertainment. Ethan Harari joins as co-producer.

Trust has officially received an R rating for “violence, language, some sexuality, and drug content.”

Thanks to The Wrap for unveiling the film’s official poster and release date.

With its blend of psychological tension, betrayal, and primal fear, Trust promises to be one of the summer’s most gripping survival thrillers.

Born in December, the darkest and coldest month of the year, Francesco Monti developed a passion for all things horror from an early age. A lifelong horror aficionado, his love for films, books, and the darker side of storytelling eventually led him into filmmaking, with a focus on horror, thriller, and sci-fi. In May 2022, Francesco turned that lifelong passion into GoreCulture — a platform created not only to bring horror fans closer to the films, stories, and culture they love, but to give a voice and valuable exposure to talented filmmakers, creators, and artists whose work deserves to be discovered, regardless of how established they are.
