‘Slayground’ Posters from A24 Welcome You to a Haunted House With No Exit

A24 has been teasing its mysterious new horror movie Slayground in recent weeks, and it appears the film is the latest project from Jeremy Saulnier, the filmmaker behind Green Room and Rebel Ridge. The movie was previously known under the title October.

Described as a Halloween-set fugitive thriller, Slayground features an impressive horror-heavy cast including Imogen Poots (Green Room), James Badge Dale (The Empty Man), Matty Matheson (The Bear), Cory Michael Smith (Saturday Night), Chase Sui Wonders (I Know What You Did Last Summer), Sophie Wilde (Talk to Me), Young Mazino (The Last of Us), and Stephen Root (Widow’s Bay).

A24 has now unveiled five new official posters for the mysterious horror movie, offering another glimpse at the nightmare in store.

While A24 has kept much of the story under wraps, World of Reel has revealed some additional details about the film. According to the outlet, Slayground takes its name from the haunted attraction where the movie’s lead character works.

The story reportedly follows a character played by Cory Michael Smith, who becomes the primary suspect in a mass murder investigation. After escaping police custody, he goes on the run and attempts to prove his innocence while a massive manhunt closes in around him.

The first teaser for Slayground takes viewers inside the titular haunted attraction, where the manufactured Halloween scares appear to collide with something far more terrifying. What begins as a night of fake monsters and staged frights may be hiding a very real threat.
