EXCLUSIVE: Terror Films Acquires North American Distribution Rights to Found-Footage Horror Movie ‘Blood’

GoreCulture can exclusively reveal that Terror Films has acquired the North American distribution rights to the found-footage horror movie Blood, with the film expected to arrive as part of the distributor’s 2027 release slate.

Directed by Francesco Monti and Jason Renaldy, Blood is a psychological slasher that blurs the line between filmmaking and the horror unfolding on camera. Using a found-footage approach, the film plays with the conventions of the genre and the unsettling idea of what happens when recording a horror movie becomes part of the nightmare.

The acquisition marks an important next step for the independent feature, which will now have Terror Films handling its release across North America.

Blood also attracted significant attention through an unconventional social media campaign built around the TikTok account @justfoundthiscam. Presented as the discovery of a camcorder in the woods, the campaign introduced viewers to the fictional character Simone Jeffries and generated more than 8.6 million views, alongside hundreds of thousands of likes and thousands of comments and shares.

The campaign’s found-footage premise gave audiences a way into the world of the film before they even encountered the feature itself.

Terror Films has established itself as a distributor of independent horror and genre films, making the acquisition an opportunity for Blood to reach a wider North American audience.
