‘Godzilla Minus Zero’ Unleashes Epic New IMAX Poster and Early Three-Day Release
Toho’s Godzilla Minus Zero is preparing to unleash the King of the Monsters on North American theaters this November—and IMAX audiences will get the chance to see the destruction even earlier.
The highly anticipated sequel officially stomps into theaters nationwide on November 6, 2026, but fans can catch an Early Access screening in IMAX on November 3 as part of this year’s Godzilla Day celebration.
Tickets for Godzilla Minus Zero are on sale now through the official Godzilla website.
Godzilla Minus Zero is making history as the first Japanese production filmed for IMAX. The movie was shot entirely in Japan using high-definition digital cameras certified by IMAX, with both its visuals and sound specifically optimized for the massive IMAX format.
A brand-new IMAX poster has also been released, giving fans another look at the upcoming monster spectacle.

The Original Cast Returns
Godzilla Minus One stars Ryunosuke Kamiki and Minami Hamabe are both returning for the sequel, while Takashi Yamazaki once again serves as director.
Yamazaki also wrote the screenplay and is returning to oversee the film’s visual effects.
The story takes place in 1949, two years after the events of Godzilla Minus One, as Japan continues struggling to rebuild from the devastation left behind.
And judging by the official synopsis, that fragile recovery isn’t going to last long.
“War reduced Japan to zero, and Godzilla plunged it into minus.”
Two years after the previous film, Japan has endured an agonizing recovery while attempting to reclaim some sense of normal life. Just as the country begins to experience a hard-won peace, another devastating threat emerges and threatens to destroy everything once again.
There is no third time. Everything ends here.
