‘R.L. Stine’s Pumpkinhead 2’ Trailer Unleashes a New Curse Ahead of Tubi Release

Tubi is bringing back the scarecrow nightmare this Halloween with R.L. Stine’s Pumpkinhead 2, and the new trailer reveals that there’s more than one Pumpkinhead waiting to terrorize the town.

Released by The Hollywood Reporter, the trailer introduces multiple killer scarecrows as a new Pumpkinhead curse descends upon Redhaven.

The sequel will premiere October 9 as part of Tubi’s annual Terror on Tubi Halloween celebration.

Based on a story by R.L. Stine, R.L. Stine’s Pumpkinhead 2 follows Sam (Bean Reid) and Becka (Adeline Lo) as they attempt to stop a newly awakened curse before it consumes the entire town.

Jem Garrard returns to write and direct the sequel, while Cassandra “Elvira” Peterson joins the cast as a mysterious witch named Cassandra who could hold the key to breaking the curse.

“Elvira and R.L. Stine each gave me a completely different way to experience horror growing up,” said Josh Van Houdt, Vice President of Original Scripted Content at Tubi. “Bringing them together in one film feels both nostalgic and completely fresh.”

The original R.L. Stine’s Pumpkinhead premiered exclusively on Tubi in October 2025. Based on the similarly titled episode of R.L. Stine’s The Haunting Hour, the movie introduced viewers to Sam after his family moved to Redhaven and his brother Finn mysteriously disappeared—with everyone except Sam seemingly forgetting that Finn ever existed.

With the help of Becka and the eccentric Rusty, Sam set out to find his brother while attempting to break a harvest curse before Halloween came to an end.

Now, the curse is back, and it appears to have brought an entire army of Pumpkinheads with it.

R.L. Stine’s Pumpkinhead 2 premieres October 9, 2026, exclusively on Tubi.
