‘The Night Driver’: David Arquette, Josh Lucas & Alyssa Milano Lead New Road Horror Movie

A terrifying road trip is about to take a deadly turn in The Night Driver, a new horror movie starring Josh Lucas, David Arquette, and Alyssa Milano.

Directed by Jeremy Weiss, the film is set to premiere at the Screamfest Horror Film Festival, with the first look image offering a glimpse at the road horror thriller.

Lucas stars as Hurdis Jones, a traveling pharmaceutical salesman desperate to make it home to his wife, Cheryl (Milano), and their family after a horrifying encounter with a mysterious stranger.

While driving down a remote stretch of highway in the middle of the night, Hurdis accidentally hits a long-haired man in the road. The stranger survives but is badly injured, and Hurdis makes the decision to take him to the hospital.

It’s a decision he’ll soon regret.

As they continue driving, Hurdis realizes something isn’t right with his passenger. Before long, the stranger becomes violent and attacks him.

Hurdis eventually manages to escape, but the nightmare is far from over.

Days later in California, Cheryl turns to her old friend Detective Hank Granger (Arquette) after her husband disappears. But Granger soon finds himself caught up in a much larger investigation involving the FBI.

Authorities believe Hurdis may actually be a serial killer responsible for a string of murders across the country.

Meanwhile, Hurdis is desperately trying to get home while being relentlessly pursued by the same mysterious stranger from the highway. No matter where he drives, the stranger seems to find him.

With Hurdis caught between being hunted and being framed for a series of murders, The Night Driver promises plenty of twists as its deadly road journey unfolds.

The film has been compared to movies including High Tension and The Sixth Sense, hinting at a horror thriller that could have plenty of surprises in store.
