‘The Night Driver’ Exclusive Clip: Josh Lucas Faces a Terrifying Road Trip Nightmare

A cross-country road trip turns into a deadly nightmare in The Night Driver, the new horror thriller from director Jeremy Weiss.

The film recently premiered at the Screamfest Horror Film Festival, and GoreCulture has an exclusive clip offering an early look at the terrifying journey ahead.

Josh Lucas, David Arquette, and Alyssa Milano lead the cast of The Night Driver, which follows a pharmaceutical salesman whose encounter with a psychotic killer sends his life spiraling into a nationwide nightmare.

Lucas stars as Hurdis Matheson, a traveling pharmaceutical salesman desperate to get back home to his wife and family after surviving a violent encounter with a killer.

But surviving the attack doesn’t mean Hurdis is safe.

The psychopath begins following him across the country, while Hurdis is simultaneously framed for a series of murders. With law enforcement hunting him nationwide, he must find a way to prove his innocence before the killer catches up with him.

David Arquette plays Detective Granger, the investigator who begins questioning the evidence against Hurdis and attempts to uncover what is really happening.

What Is ‘The Night Driver’ About?

The official synopsis follows Hurdis as he struggles to return home to his wife, Cheryl (Alyssa Milano), after his encounter with the killer. As the murders pile up and Hurdis becomes the prime suspect, Detective Granger must determine whether the traveling salesman is actually responsible—or being deliberately framed.

The cast also includes Charlotte Kirk (The Reckoning), Eileen Dietz (Halloween II), Danielle Vasinova (The Madison), and Gina La Piana (Meet Dave).

Friday the 13th filmmaker Sean S. Cunningham serves as executive producer, with John Cork writing the screenplay.
