J.J. Abrams is at the helm of a highly anticipated, untitled film for Warner Bros., and Deadline has reported this week that Jenna Ortega (‘Scream’, ‘Beetlejuice’) is in “final talks” to star in the project. Glen Powell (‘Top Gun: Maverick’) is also nearing a deal to join the cast.

Details about the film remain scarce, though Deadline confirms that it is not a time travel story. Abrams penned the script, and his production company, Bad Robot, is behind the project.

While the genre of the film remains under wraps, speculation is rife about whether it will venture into the sci-fi or horror realms or explore entirely new territory.

Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.

Born in December, the darkest and coldest month of the year, Francesco Monti developed a passion for all things horror from an early age.
