‘Wednesday’ Season 3 First Look – Filming Has Wrapped as Jenna Ortega Returns

Netflix’s hit series Wednesday is officially one step closer to returning, with the streamer announcing that Season 3 has wrapped filming.

Netflix also unveiled a first look at Jenna Ortega as Wednesday Addams in the upcoming season.

Creators Alfred Gough and Miles Millar return as showrunners, alongside executive producer and director Tim Burton.

Ortega will be joined by returning cast members Emma Myers, Hunter Doohan, Joy Sunday, Moosa Mostafa, Georgie Farmer, Isaac Ordonez, Billie Piper, Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo, Victor Dorobantu, Evie Templeton, Luis Guzmán, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Joanna Lumley, and Fred Armisen.

Season 3 will also introduce several new faces, including Eva Green (Dark Shadows), Winona Ryder (Stranger Things), Chris Sarandon (Fright Night), Noah Taylor (Game of Thrones), Oscar Morgan (A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms), Kennedy Moyer (Task), Lena Headey (Game of Thrones), Andrew McCarthy (Weekend at Bernie’s), and James Lance (Ted Lasso).

Netflix is keeping the Season 3 storyline under wraps for now, though Gough and Millar have teased that the new episodes will introduce new students and teachers while digging deeper into the Addams family’s history.

“This season, we welcome new students, new teachers, and excavate some long-rotting Addams Family secrets,” the creators previously teased.

Gough added that the goal is to continue expanding the world of Nevermore while exploring the characters on a deeper level. Millar also confirmed that Season 3 will feature more members of the Addams family and reveal additional family secrets.

Burton is equally excited to return, especially with several of his longtime collaborators joining the cast.

Wednesday Season 3 is currently expected to premiere on Netflix in 2027.

The first season remains Netflix’s most-viewed English-language series of all time.
