‘Spiritual World’ – Kristen Stewart Plays Haunted Clairvoyant in New Movie From ‘Personal Shopper’ Director

Kristen Stewart is returning to supernatural territory, reuniting with Personal Shopper director Olivier Assayas for the upcoming film Spiritual World.

According to Variety, Stewart will lead the cast as a haunted young clairvoyant plagued by mysterious premonitions. The film is said to have similarities to Assayas and Stewart’s 2016 supernatural thriller Personal Shopper, but with a “steamier” edge.

Stewart will be joined by Vicky Krieps, Riley Keough, Wagner Moura, Barbara Sukowa (Deux), and Niels Schneider (The Unknown).

Spiritual World is scheduled to begin filming in February 2027, with production taking place in France and Germany.

The project marks another supernatural collaboration between Stewart and Assayas. Their previous film, Personal Shopper, followed a young woman working as a personal shopper in Paris who begins receiving mysterious messages that may—or may not—come from the dead.

Stewart also has another genre project on the horizon with A24 and Mandy director Panos Cosmatos. She will star in Flesh of the Gods, which also features Wagner Moura.
