‘Breeder’ Poster Warns: Perfection Comes at a Price
Perfection comes at a brutal price in the new poster for Breeder, the upcoming horror movie about an eccentric poodle breeder with some disturbing ideas about her craft.
Written and directed by Alex Goyette in his feature directorial debut, Breeder will hit theaters on October 16 through Independent Film Company and Shudder.
The film follows a broke college student who is lured to a remote ranch by an eccentric poodle breeder offering research funding. But the opportunity quickly turns into a nightmare when he discovers there’s a catch.
Daniel Doheny, Dot-Marie Jones, Maddie Phillips, and Tanaya Beatty star.
Breeder premiered earlier this year at the Tribeca Festival, where it earned attention for its twisted premise and unpredictable story. Dot-Marie Jones has also been singled out for her chilling performance as the film’s villainous breeder, Patti.
The movie has been rated R for “disturbing material, violence/bloody images, sexual content, graphic nudity, and language.”
IFC Entertainment Group’s Mark Ward previously teased what audiences can expect, describing Breeder as a provocative film that continually takes unexpected turns.
With its bizarre premise, remote setting, and a poodle breeder who clearly isn’t interested in playing by the rules, Breeder looks set to deliver a very strange trip to the ranch this October.
