Ryan Coogler’s new take on The X-Files is officially moving forward at Hulu. After years of development and the completion of a pilot episode, the filmmaker’s revival of the beloved paranormal investigation series has received a full series order from the streaming platform.

Getting a pilot made doesn’t always guarantee a series, but The X-Files is now one step closer to returning to television with Coogler at the helm.

More details about the reboot, including its cast and premiere date, have yet to be announced.
