Director Paul Feig (Last Christmas, A Simple Favor) is bringing Freida McFadden’s global bestseller The Housemaid to the big screen, and the new trailer teases a glossy descent into psychological chaos, wrapping secrets and betrayal in tinsel and terror.

Set to hit theaters on December 19, 2025, The Housemaid stars Sydney Sweeney, Amanda Seyfried, Brandon Sklenar, and Michele Morrone.

The story follows Millie (Sweeney), a young woman running from her past who accepts a live-in maid position at the lavish Winchester estate. Her new employer, Nina Winchester (Seyfried), seems charming — until cracks begin to show.
