‘Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Shark’ Trailer Delivers Campy Gothic Horror Fun Coming This January

Since its 1886 debut, Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde has inspired countless adaptations — from films and TV shows to comics, stage productions, and even video games. But none have taken the plunge quite like this.

In the upcoming indie horror comedy Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Shark, the tormented doctor doesn’t just transform — he becomes a ravenous man-shark. The campy, over-the-top gothic horror reimagining swims onto DVD and Digital January 20 via Wild Eye Releasing. Watch the trailer below.

After losing his wife, reclusive Dr. Henry Jekyll spirals into grief and obsession. Desperate, he takes an experimental drug called Sharcopine — and emerges as a bloodthirsty man-shark. Driven by madness and the lingering love of his late wife, Jekyll stalks the streets, punishing anyone who threatens his twisted devotion.
