‘American Horror Story’ Renewed for Season 14 at FX
After 15 years on television, American Horror Story remains one of FX’s most recognizable horror franchises. Created by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, the anthology series debuted in 2011, helping establish FX as a destination for bold, disturbing television. Now, the nightmare is far from over: FX has officially renewed American Horror Story for Season 14.
The renewal comes as the series approaches the finale of its 13th season. While details about the next installment remain under wraps, FX has confirmed that the long-running horror anthology will return. No storyline or casting announcements have been made for Season 14.
American Horror Story Season 14 Confirmed
The latest season has delivered a strong launch for the franchise. The premiere of American Horror Story: Season 13 landed on Nielsen’s Streaming Top 10 chart and marked Ryan Murphy’s biggest series launch ever on Hulu and Disney+.
The current season continues this week with Episodes 11 and 12 ahead of its finale on Thursday, October 29, bringing the latest chapter to a close just in time for Halloween. Episodes are scheduled to become available at 9 p.m. ET/PT on FX and 9 p.m. PT on Hulu.
Although the story and cast for Season 14 have yet to be revealed, the renewal ensures that the anthology’s unsettling stories will continue beyond its latest installment.
A Horror Anthology With a Lasting Legacy
Since its 2011 debut, American Horror Story has become one of FX’s defining original series. It helped popularize the modern anthology format, with each installment exploring a different setting, cast of characters, and corner of the horror genre.
Across its seasons, the series has explored everything from a murder house and a coven of witches to a traveling freak show, a haunted hotel, and an apocalyptic nightmare. Its constantly changing stories have allowed the franchise to move between supernatural horror, psychological terror, slasher elements, and real-world fears.
The series has also earned more than 100 Emmy nominations and 17 wins, including acting awards for Jessica Lange, Kathy Bates, and James Cromwell. According to FX, the franchise has generated nearly 2 billion hours of global engagement since its launch.
Previous seasons are available to stream on Hulu in the United States, including through Hulu on Disney+ for eligible bundle subscribers. International viewers can find the series on Disney+.
