‘Stung’ – Odeya Rush and More Join Justin Long in New Killer Bee Horror Movie
Justin Long (Barbarian) and Iris Apatow (Pretty Little Liars) are leading the cast of Stung, a new killer bee horror movie from director Colin Minihan (Grave Encounters, Extraterrestrial). Now, more cast members have been announced.
Odeya Rush (Goosebumps) has joined the film alongside Annarah Cymone and Neela Jolene. Production has already wrapped.
Stung follows four teenage girls whose innocent sleepover turns into a fight for survival when they become trapped inside a luxurious Orange County home overrun by a massive swarm of Africanized killer bees.
Watching from nearby is their pathetic neighbor Derek, played by Justin Long. But even he may not be able to save the girls from what’s coming.
The cast also includes Teddy Parker, Kayln Harper, James Baccile, Tom DeNucci, Kea Ho, and Rob Goon.
According to Minihan, the movie taps into the primal fear of being trapped and isolated while facing an unstoppable threat.
“Stung taps into a very primal fear,” the director said. “You’re trapped, isolated, and under attack from something unstoppable.”
The filmmaker also teased that beneath the killer-bee mayhem, the movie explores friendship, trust, and survival under pressure.
With production now complete, Stung is currently awaiting a release date.
