‘In a Violent Nature 2’ Slashes Into Theaters on Valentine’s Day

The announcement was made at New York Comic Con, where masked killer Johnny, played by Ry Barrett, made a surprise appearance to reveal the sequel’s release date. The news follows the film’s world premiere at Fantastic Fest, where the sequel was screened as a surprise selection.

Picking up immediately after the events of the first film, In a Violent Nature: Part 2 expands the mythology surrounding Johnny as he sets his sights on a new group of victims.

This time, the relentless killer heads to a summer camp, where a young outcast is forced to spend the night alongside his counselor sister and her friends during their annual end-of-season party. What should be a night of celebration quickly becomes a nightmare as Johnny’s rampage unfolds.

In a Violent Nature: Part 2 Cast and Crew

Chris Nash, who wrote and directed the original film, returns to direct the sequel alongside co-director Nate Wilson. Nash also wrote the screenplay, while Peter Kuplowsky, Shannon Hanmer, and Nash serve as producers.

The cast includes Lucas Nguyen, Olivia Scriven (Blood Quantum), Laurie Babin (Red Rooms), Fionn Laird (The Institute), Donald MacLean Jr. (The Craft: Legacy), and Evan Marsh (Shazam).

The Slasher Sequel Promises Even More Brutal Kills

The creative team has already teased a significant escalation in the sequel’s violence. Producer Peter Kuplowsky previously explained that the film would deliver a major increase in its signature brutality while introducing a distinctive new hook that still embraces classic slasher traditions.
