The witches are returning to their roots in Old Salem. A new teaser for Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches: Salem Coven, the third season of AMC’s supernatural horror series, has revealed a December premiere date.

Unveiled at New York Comic Con, the teaser confirms that the series will return on December 30, bringing ancient magic, witchcraft, and Salem’s dark history into the spotlight.

Based on Anne Rice’s Lives of the Mayfair Witches novel trilogy, the upcoming season will expand the show’s mythology, introduce new “spellbound” families, and explore the historical events and folklore surrounding Salem, Massachusetts, a town forever associated with its infamous witch trials.

Returning cast members include Alexandra Daddario, Harry Hamlin, Tongayi Chirisa, and Alyssa Jirrels. They will be joined this season by Michiel Huisman (The Haunting of Hill House), Betsy Brandt (Breaking Bad), James Frain (True Blood), and Eliza Scanlen (Sharp Objects).

Mayfair Witches Expands the Anne Rice Immortal Universe

Mayfair Witches premiered in 2023 as the second series in AMC’s Anne Rice Immortal Universe, following Interview with the Vampire. The franchise also included Talamasca: The Secret Order, which has since been canceled.

With its third season, Mayfair Witches will delve further into the supernatural forces surrounding the Mayfair family while drawing on Salem’s legacy of witchcraft, historical persecution, and folklore.
