The film’s synopsis hints at a harrowing journey to redemption, pushing the protagonist to question how far he’s willing to go to save his child.

Bloody Disgusting gives an exclusive clip from “Mercy Road,” offering a glimpse into the unsettling and deranged nature of this redemption journey.

In the film’s plot, after committing a brutal, spur-of-the-moment crime in his quest to find his missing daughter, the desperate father (Luke Bracey) goes on the run from law enforcement. As he flees, he begins receiving eerie calls from an unidentified entity claiming knowledge of his daughter’s whereabouts. Religiously following the caller’s increasingly unhinged instructions, he teeters perilously on the brink of sanity, pushing the boundaries of what he’s willing to do to rescue his child.

Director John Curran offers insight into “Mercy Road,” describing it as a mystery thriller with a deeper layer, serving as an allegorical morality play beneath its suspenseful surface.
