Jane Levy Teases Potential Return as Mia in a Future ‘Evil Dead’ Movie
Jane Levy is heading back into horror with next year’s slasher movie River, but for many fans, the actress will always be remembered for her role as Mia in Fede Álvarez’s Evil Dead (2013). More than a decade after the film’s release, Mia remains a fan-favorite character, and horror fans have repeatedly called for her return to the franchise.
After all, Mia survived the events of the 2013 film, leaving the door open for a potential comeback.
So, would Levy be interested in reprising the role in a future Evil Dead project? The actress recently put that very question to fans herself, seemingly eager to find out just how much interest there is in seeing Mia return.
During an on-stage Q&A following a screening of Evil Dead this week, Levy asked the audience, “I have a question. Do you guys think Mia should come back to Evil Dead?”
The crowd responded with enthusiastic applause and cheers, prompting Levy to reply, “Okay cool, just checking. That’s all.”
The actress then joked about taking the idea directly to one of the franchise’s key figures.
“Let’s call Sam’s Skype number right now and see if he wants Mia to come back,” Levy quipped, referring to Sam Raimi, the creator of the original Evil Dead franchise and a producer on subsequent entries.
Of course, the exchange is not confirmation that Mia will return in a future Evil Dead movie. No new project featuring the character has been announced, and Levy’s comments should not be taken as an indication that a deal is in the works.
Still, the actress appears open to the possibility, and the enthusiastic response from the audience suggests that plenty of fans would welcome her return.
For now, a Mia comeback remains a possibility rather than a reality. But given that the character survived the events of the 2013 film, there is certainly room for the franchise to revisit her story someday.
