‘Tarantulas’ – New Horror Film Unleashes Killer Spiders

Published

on

Get ready to face your eight-legged nightmares — Tarantulas is coming.

The horror thriller, which recently wrapped production in Australia, is headed to the European Film Market (EFM) to launch worldwide sales, ScreenDaily reports.

In Tarantulas, a research expedition into the Australian outback stumbles upon an evolved species of deadly spiders — and survival is anything but guaranteed.

The cast includes Rhys Darby, Tahyna Tozzi, Alexandra Jensen, ‘Ana Ika, and Gareth Rickards. Susan Schmidt produces, while Jonathan Adams directs the arachnid chaos.

Film Mode is handling worldwide rights (excluding China, Australia, and New Zealand), with Verdict Film Group securing distribution for Australia and New Zealand.

Tarantulas arrives as part of the recent wave of arachnid-focused horror films, following in the footsteps of Infested and Sting, ready to terrify anyone who dares look under the bed — or into the shadows of the outback.

Born in December, the darkest and coldest month of the year, Francesco Monti developed a passion for all things horror from an early age. A lifelong horror aficionado, his love for films, books, and the darker side of storytelling eventually led him into filmmaking, with a focus on horror, thriller, and sci-fi. In May 2022, Francesco turned that lifelong passion into GoreCulture — a platform created not only to bring horror fans closer to the films, stories, and culture they love, but to give a voice and valuable exposure to talented filmmakers, creators, and artists whose work deserves to be discovered, regardless of how established they are.
