The official plot synopsis sets the stage: “In the 1800s, a young, handsome Native American named Talako is ensnared in a forbidden affair with the wife of the merciless pirate Redbeard. As punishment, Redbeard orders Talako to be burned alive at the stake. Witnessing the gruesome execution, Redbeard’s wife, Lara, takes her own life. Talako’s spirit lingers, never finding peace, haunting anyone who dares approach the old house. Nearly 300 years later, Lara and Talako come face to face once more, discovering that every event has a purpose.”
