Rue Morgue has unveiled the trailer for director Chad Ferrin’s forthcoming Lovecraft-inspired horror film, “The Old Ones.”

Scheduled for release on VOD by Breaking Glass Pictures on March 19, 2024, the official trailer showcases an impressive array of classic practical effects, enhancing the appeal of this low-budget endeavor.

The storyline follows sea captain Russel Marsh, who, in 1930, becomes the vessel for a Great Old One, leading him to commit unspeakable acts in service to the Esoteric Order of Dagon. After 93 years, now free from the entity’s grip, Marsh seeks a way to travel back in time and undo the horrors unleashed upon the world. However, the cult that once controlled him is determined to thwart his plans, stopping at nothing to destroy him.

Starring Robert Miano, Benjamin Philip, Kelli Maroney, Timothy Muskatell, Jerry Irons, Cyril O’Reilly, Brandon Kirk, Jon Budinoff, Kurt Bonzell, Elli Rahn, and Silvia Spross, “The Old Ones” promises an intriguing blend of Lovecraftian horror and practical effects.
