On August 12, 1967, two fatal grizzly bear attacks unfolded just nine miles apart in Montana’s Glacier National Park, forever marking one of the darkest days in the park’s history. That harrowing true story now fuels Grizzly Night, a fact-based survival thriller arriving on VOD January 30 via Saban Films.

The newly released trailer teases a night of escalating terror as a rookie park ranger is thrust into chaos when grizzly attacks leave multiple visitors stranded in the wilderness. Battling fear, confusion, and the unforgiving wild, the ranger must guide survivors through a nightmare that would ultimately reshape America’s relationship with nature and its apex predators.

The cast includes Charles Esten (Outer Banks), Oded Fehr (The Mummy), Lauren Call, Joel Johnstone (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel), Josh Zuckerman (Feast), Matt Lintz (The Walking Dead), Ali Skovbye (The Man in the High Castle), Sophia Gray, Brec Bassinger (Final Destination: Bloodlines), and Jack Griffo (Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No).

Grizzly Night marks the feature directorial debut of Burke Doeren, working from a script by Katrina Mathewson and Tanner Bean (Dexter: Resurrection). According to Doeren, the film is driven by more than shock and suspense.

“Grizzly Night carries an important message about respecting nature and wildlife—that’s what drew us to tell this story,” Doeren said. “We only have one planet, and we need to respect the animals who share it with us. We’re incredibly grateful our cast and crew connected so deeply with that message and helped bring it to the screen.”

Blending real-world tragedy with survival horror, Grizzly Night aims to deliver both visceral tension and a sobering reminder of humanity’s fragile place in the wild.
