Concourse Media has acquired worldwide sales rights to the completed film and will present it to domestic and international buyers at the upcoming market. The announcement follows the movie’s recent world premiere at the Woodstock Film Festival and its screening at the Newport Beach Film Festival.
Written and directed by Nacho Arenas (Momma), Blow the Horn adapts Matías Del Federico’s Argentine stage play Bajo Terapia. Arenas produced the film alongside Jamin O’Brien (Die My Love).
What Is ‘Blow the Horn’ About?
Blow the Horn follows three couples who arrive at a Brooklyn artist’s studio expecting separate sessions with their psychologist. Instead, they discover that their therapist has left behind a letter and a series of sealed envelopes instructing them to conduct their own group therapy session.
What begins as an unconventional exercise quickly becomes a volatile confrontation. As long-buried secrets, betrayals, and uncomfortable truths emerge, the couples turn against one another, putting their relationships under increasing pressure.
The session builds toward a series of revelations that challenge what the participants believe they know about their partners.
The story is adapted from Bajo Terapia, a stage play by Argentine playwright Matías Del Federico that centers on couples confronting relationship problems through an unusual group therapy session.
Tracee Ellis Ross Leads an Ensemble Cast
Alongside Ross, Bell, and Leung, the film features Joshua Boone (A Jazzman’s Blues), Wrenn Schmidt (For All Mankind), and Dallas Roberts (The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story).
The ensemble cast brings together performers known for their work across television, independent film, and drama. The film’s central premise places their characters in an increasingly tense situation as personal revelations threaten to unravel their relationships.
Arenas wrote and directed the adaptation, bringing Del Federico’s stage play to the screen as a psychological thriller built around secrets, confrontation, and shifting alliances.
Concourse Media Takes ‘Blow the Horn’ to AFM
Concourse Media will introduce Blow the Horn to buyers at AFM as the company pursues domestic and international distribution opportunities.
Kristin Harris, head of acquisitions at Concourse Media, described the film as an entertaining and provocative take on a universally relatable subject, highlighting its unpredictable approach to relationships and its recent festival premieres.
The company’s other projects include Parish, starring Nicolas Cage, Dane DeHaan, and Alexandra Shipp, and Vision Board, starring Lucy Hale. At the time of the announcement, Parish was nearing the end of production in Minnesota, while Vision Board was in pre-production.
With its festival screenings complete and worldwide sales representation secured, Blow the Horn is heading into the market as Concourse Media looks to connect the psychological thriller with potential distributors.
