Coming to Netflix this month is the eagerly anticipated docuseries “Encounters,” a collaborative effort from Steven Spielberg‘s Amblin Television, Vice Studios, and Boardwalk Pictures (known for “Pepsi, Where’s My Jet?”).

“Encounters” is set to make its debut on September 27, 2023, offering viewers an unprecedented exploration of four extraordinary true stories involving encounters with otherworldly phenomena. To get a glimpse of what’s in store, check out the official trailer below.

Directed by Yon Motskin, known for his work on “Hustle,” this four-part docuseries embarks on a global journey that spans different corners of the world. Each episode, crafted with meticulous research and cinematic finesse, delves into a single captivating story. These tales include mysterious lights in the skies above a small Texas town, submersible space crafts haunting a coastal village in Wales, a remarkable alien encounter involving schoolchildren in Zimbabwe, and reports of non-human intelligence interfering with a nuclear power plant in Japan.

What sets “Encounters” apart is its unique perspective. The series presents these stories through the eyes of firsthand experiencers, taking viewers to the very locations where these astounding sightings occurred. To provide a comprehensive understanding, the series also enlists the expertise of cutting-edge scientists and military personnel. Beyond the scientific examination, “Encounters” delves into the deeply human aspects, highlighting the profound impact of these encounters on the lives, families, and communities touched by them.

This docuseries unfolds as a cosmic detective story, weaving together seemingly unrelated encounters from various places, times, and cultures. What emerges from this intricate puzzle are striking similarities and one astonishing revelation: extraterrestrial encounters are a global phenomenon, leaving us awestruck and challenging our preconceptions about the universe.

“Encounters” promises to be a timely and timeless exploration of the uncharted realms of the unknown, inviting viewers to join in the discovery of these captivating stories and the mysteries they hold.
