The true story of the Boston Strangler will land on Hulu on March 17 produced by Ridley Scott for 20th Century Studios, with Keira Knightley and Carrie Coon. Check out the trailer up here!

Matt Ruskin (“Crown Heights”) wrote and directed ‘Boston Strangler’, which stars David Dastmalchian (The Suicide Squad, Dune), Chris Cooper, and Alessandro Nivola.

The Boston Strangler is the name given to the murderer of 13 women in the Boston, Massachusetts, area during the early 1960s. The crimes were attributed to Albert DeSalvo based on his confession, details revealed in court during a separate case, and DNA evidence linking him to the final victim.

In the Boston Strangler

Loretta McLaughlin (Knightley), a reporter for the Record-American newspaper, becomes the first journalist to connect the Boston Strangler murders. As the mysterious killer claims more and more victims, Loretta attempts to continue her investigation alongside colleague and confidante Jean Cole (Carrie Coon), yet the duo finds themselves stymied by the rampant sexism of the era. Nevertheless, McLaughlin and Cole bravely pursue the story at great personal risk, putting their own lives on the line in their quest to uncover the truth.
