Samuel Goldwyn Films is set to make waves with the release of the shark attack thriller “Something in the Water,” hitting select theaters and VOD platforms on May 3.

In this upcoming aquatic horror flick, an enchanting destination wedding transforms into a fight for survival. The story centers on Meg (portrayed by Hiftu Quasem, known for “Ten Percent”), who hesitantly attends the Caribbean wedding of her old friend Lizzie (played by Lauren Lyle from “Outlander”), accompanied by pals Cam (Nicole Rieko Setsuko, “Eavesdropping”) and Ruth (Ellouise Shakespeare-Hart, “One Four Three”). Also joining the group is Meg’s former partner Kayla (Natalie Mitson, “The Larkins”), with whom she shares a haunting past following a traumatic event.

As the festivities unfold, the wedding party finds itself under siege by ravenous sharks, unleashing chaos and terror.
