Directed by Joe Lo Truglio, known for his work in hit shows like ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine,’ ‘Reno 911!,’ and ‘Superbad,’ ‘Outpost’ marks his feature-length directorial debut. The UK premiere of ‘Outpost’ took place at FrightFest Halloween last year, earning praise from the audience.
Set to be released on Demand and Download in the UK & Ireland from September 11 and in Australia & New Zealand from September 13, the story follows Kate, who seeks solace and healing from past trauma by relocating to Idaho and taking up a job as a fire lookout volunteer. However, her solitude in the mountains becomes overwhelming, giving rise to paranoia and isolation. As she grapples with her demons, Kate must uncover the truth, confront those responsible, and protect the tower.
Director Joe Lo Truglio expressed his excitement, sharing that ‘Outpost’ was a dream project for him, fueled by his love for horror since childhood. He can’t wait for a global audience to experience the film’s suspenseful and chilling narrative. Lightbulb Film Distribution, equally passionate about the horror genre, is proud to be collaborating on this project.
Peter Thompson, Sales & Acquisitions Director, also shared his delight in bringing ‘Outpost’ to audiences in the UK, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand. He praised Joe Lo Truglio’s brilliance as a writer and director, complementing Beth Dover’s captivating lead performance and the exceptional cinematography by Frank Barrera. The film’s riveting storyline reminds viewers that trauma can be frightening, but survival brings its own thrilling suspense.
‘Outpost’ will be available for rent or purchase in the UK & Ireland from September 11 via various platforms, including AppleTV, Amazon, Sky Store, Virgin Media Store, Google Play, and RakutenTV.
