Console gamers have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of Team17 Digital and Trepang Studios’ supernatural first-person shooter, Trepang2, and the time has finally come. The game, inspired by the F.E.A.R. series, is now accessible on PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series platforms. To celebrate the launch, a brand-new, aptly labeled “violent” trailer for Trepang2 has been unveiled.

Described as a spiritual successor to the high-energy, over-the-top first-person shooters that dominated the gaming landscape in the mid-2000s (including the previously mentioned classic by Monolith), Trepang2 combines heart-pounding, first-person gunplay with a powerful heavy metal soundtrack. Players assume the role of a newly enhanced super soldier, liberated from a clandestine government black site, and embark on a supernatural odyssey filled with death, chaos, and corporate conspiracies.

Prepare to immerse yourself in a world saturated with bullets, chaos, and destruction as you put your combat prowess to the test against a myriad of formidable opponents. Your adversaries include highly trained special forces operatives, cultists, and otherworldly beings, all thirsting for your blood. Arm yourself with an impressive arsenal of weapons while mastering a host of newfound superhuman abilities, such as time distortion, invisibility, and superhuman speed. In addition to your vast array of firearms, you possess melee combat skills that allow you to pulverize your foes through a combination of punches, kicks, and slides.
