Resident Evil 4 Remake Dominates the Horror Game Awards at Fear Fest 2023
After an exhilarating first day of major reveals, Feardemic’s Fear Fest 2023 reached its grand finale last night with the highly anticipated Horror Game Awards ceremony. Spanning across 13 diverse categories, and featuring an esteemed Lifetime Achievement Award, the standout victor of the night was none other than Capcom’s remake of “Resident Evil 4.”
This acclaimed reimagining of the 2005 classic accomplished an impressive sweep, claiming victory in all five of its nominated categories, ultimately earning the prestigious title of Horror Game of The Year. On a parallel note, Capcom’s other horror title, “Resident Evil Village,” secured the Best VR/AR Horror award.
Coming closest to matching the accolades of “RE4” was rose-engine’s Survival Horror offering with an Alien-inspired vibe, “Signalis,” which received recognition for both Best Narrative of the Year and Best Indie Horror of the Year.
