New Totem Update for ‘Puppet Master: The Game’ Adds New Features
Following Saber Interactive’s decision to discontinue new content development for Evil Dead: The Game, October Games has unveiled an exciting update for Puppet Master: The Game. This new update, known as the Totem Update, brings a fresh puppet faction into the game, along with an array of new skins, perks, and additional features.
The Totem Faction makes its debut in Puppet Master: The Game, inspired by the film series and featuring the likes of Sutekh from Puppet Master 4 and 5. Players can incorporate these new characters into various game modes or confront them in the game’s two newly introduced modes. The Totem Faction comprises five distinct characters, each boasting unique playstyles, and traits, complemented by an assortment of additional skins.
Among the new game modes introduced in this update are “The Puppet Master” and “Manhunt.” In “The Puppet Master” mode, one defending Puppet faction is tasked with safeguarding a single Human player from an attacking puppet faction. The Human player must complete an objective to secure their escape and victory, with the defending Puppet faction winning if the Human manages to escape. Conversely, the attacking Puppet faction prevails if they can eliminate the Human.
Meanwhile, “Manhunt” is a mode where two Human players must work together to complete an objective and escape while simultaneously defending themselves from a team of attacking Puppets. Victory is achieved by the Humans successfully completing the escape objective, while the attacking Puppet faction seeks to eliminate the Human player.
In addition to the new faction and game modes, this update brings various enhancements and tweaks. Notable changes include the ability for Throwing Weapons to damage vent covers and raven statues, as well as the addition of crosshairs when aiming. Additionally, players can now enjoy Thief mode in solo play against a Human bot.
The developers expressed their dedication and hard work in this project, emphasizing that this update marks just the beginning of their journey.
Puppet Master: The Game is currently available in Early Access on Steam for PC, offering free gameplay to interested players.
