After years of eager anticipation, Madmind Studio has officially announced the release date for their forthcoming psychological horror title, ‘Paranoid.’ This revelation comes alongside the debut of a new trailer, confirming that the full version of ‘Paranoid’ will be available on Steam starting December 15 of this year.
For those unfamiliar with the game’s backstory, ‘Paranoid’ has been in development since its initial announcement by Madmind in 2018. The game weaves the harrowing narrative of Patrick Calman, a 31-year-old man who endured the agonizing loss of his entire family under mysterious circumstances. His parents met gruesome ends, and his sister inexplicably vanished without a trace. The trauma of these tragic events shattered Patrick’s psyche, effectively imprisoning him within the confines of his own apartment.
The sole surviving member of Patrick’s family is his sister, who vanished over a decade ago. Then, one fateful day, a phone call shatters his solitude. The voice on the other end eerily resembles his long-lost sibling, and she announces her imminent return, years after her disappearance. This event compels Patrick to shatter the cocoon of isolation, thrusting him into nightmarish experiences teetering on the precipice of madness.
‘Paranoid’ offers players the opportunity to shape the course of Patrick’s journey. Depending on the choices made, players can opt to lock themselves within the confines of their apartment, confronting their inner demons, or they can venture into the city, unveiling an alternate series of events. The game offers two distinct paths to completion, exemplifying how the seemingly straightforward decision to stay or depart from the apartment wields a profound impact on the protagonist’s destiny.
