In 2024, ‘Alan Wake II’ to Get Two Post-launch Expansions
After years of anticipation, Remedy’s “Alan Wake II” has finally arrived, delighting fans with its release. But the developer has more in store for the horror writer’s story. Following hints about post-launch content in the game’s launch trailer, Remedy has officially announced that “Alan Wake II” will be receiving two expansions.
According to IGN, Remedy has planned to launch two expansions for “Alan Wake II” in 2024. The first expansion, titled “Night Springs,” is expected to be released in late Spring 2024. Here’s a glimpse of what “Night Springs” has in store:
“Visions and dreams. Fiction becomes reality. Fiction crumbles, leaving mere words on a page. These are the tales of Night Springs. Step into the shoes of familiar characters from the world of Alan Wake and delve into the inexplicable through a series of self-contained episodes of Night Springs, a fictional TV show set in the universe of Alan Wake.”
Following “Night Springs,” the second expansion, “The Lakehouse,” is on the horizon, but its release window remains undisclosed.
“The Lakehouse” features a mysterious facility located on the shores of Cauldron Lake, established by an independent government organization for covert research. However, something goes awry, leading players to explore the Lakehouse and embark on two distinct adventures as the realities of Saga Anderson and Alan Wake once again intersect.
Additionally, Remedy has confirmed the introduction of a New Game+ mode for “Alan Wake II,” although the exact release date for this feature is still pending.
