Image from Upcoming ‘Bioshock’ Game Leaks Online

A recently leaked image from what appears to be the upcoming fourth installment of the BioShock series has surfaced online, courtesy of gaming website MP1ST. The screenshot, originally from a 2021 demo reel by a 2K Visual Effects Artist, showcases the game’s UI and a weapon.

Since the image dates back to 2021, it’s expected that many aspects will evolve as production progresses, which seems imminent. The image is associated with the code name “Parkside,” previously reported in 2021 as the working title for this BioShock project.

While the leaked screenshot offers limited insights, it reveals familiar elements like ability icons in the lower left corner, suggesting the return of abilities such as Plasmids or Vigors. Additionally, a shotgun is visible, demonstrating a feature where shots can rebound.

Neither 2K nor Cloud Chamber, the studio behind the game, have officially commented on the leaked image.

According to persistent rumors, this new BioShock installment may adopt an open-world format, set in a 1960s Antarctic city known as Borealis. However, these details remain subject to change.

Notably, Ken Levine, the visionary behind the original BioShock, is not involved in this new project. Levine is currently focused on his role at Ghost Story Games, where his team is developing Judas, a game in the vein of BioShock.
