Recently announced during Feardemic’s Fear Fest, the collaborative effort between Atari and SneakBox, the turn-based RPG roguelite titled “Days of Doom,” has officially launched on PC and various gaming consoles. This unique blend of tactical RPG and survival simulation gameplay is now accessible on platforms including Steam for PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and even the Atari VCS.
In “Days of Doom,” players are tasked with assembling a team of heroes to confront an unrelenting horde of zombies, ghouls, raiders, and other formidable adversaries. Their ultimate objective is to navigate through the chaos and reach the safety of sanctuary. Each character class in the game boasts distinct abilities. For instance, players can ignite their enemies with the Pyro class, inflicting lasting damage through flames, and conclude with a devastating combination attack using a Hydromancer and Thrasher, dousing foes with watery assaults before delivering a shocking blow. Additionally, players have the opportunity to enhance their squad’s capabilities by collecting more than 70 unique items and runes.
One of the standout features of “Days of Doom” is its roguelite progression system, ensuring that no two playthroughs are identical. However, players have the chance to permanently enhance key statistics such as party size and the rate of resource accumulation, steadily progressing towards achieving their ultimate objectives. The game is complemented by an immersive orchestral soundtrack composed by Jelle Dittmar, known for his work on titles like “Death by Flame” and “The Playboy Murders.”
