Airdorf, known for developing FAITH: The Unholy Trinity, is shifting gears for their upcoming title, Excuse Me Sir, opting for point-and-click FMV-style adventure gameplay. Adding an extra layer of horror to the mix, Airdorf has collaborated with Dread X Collection contributor TorpleDook, YouTuber Jesse Cox, Siren Head creator Trevor Henderson, and TikTok star Molly Moonn.
Currently accessible as a demo on itch.io with three potential endings, Excuse Me Sir originated from a spontaneous tweet by Airdorf and evolved into a proof-of-concept story centered around Moonn’s quest to unravel the mystery of her missing brother. Navigating and surviving Moonn’s world requires players to engage with the game’s “crispy chrunchety fmv-style graphics and audio.”
Excuse Me Sir’s gameplay involves maneuvering through the world using a basic onscreen interface reminiscent of classic adventure games. Players interact with Moonn, respond to prompts, and utilize items to progress. The eerie atmosphere is intensified by static images, stilted animations, and low-quality audio, complemented by Moonn’s unsettling gaze.
