Developments have been relatively hushed in the realm of Cloud Chamber and the eagerly anticipated fourth installment of the BioShock series. However, recent events have thrown a small but intriguing curveball into the mix, thanks to a discovery made on the ArtStation page of Cloud Chamber’s Senior Concept Artist, Mack Sztaba.

As reported by RelyOnHorror, Sztaba, a key member of the team dedicated to BioShock’s development, briefly updated his ArtStation resume to include a reference to his work on the forthcoming BioShock title. What’s more, this update hinted at a prospective release year of 2028 for the game. Although this reference was swiftly removed, vigilant fans managed to capture a screenshot before it vanished.

It’s crucial to note that, at this point, we lack any official confirmation from 2K or Cloud Chamber regarding the release details of the next BioShock installment. Therefore, the 2028 date remains speculative and subject to change.

The BioShock community has eagerly awaited news regarding the game’s setting, potential open-world elements, and other details since the initial hints of its development surfaced in 2019. The possibility of a 2028 release date raises concerns about the project’s progress.

Until an official statement emerges from the development team or the publisher, the BioShock community must exercise patience and continue to await updates.

In the interim, for those seeking an experience reminiscent of BioShock, it may be worthwhile to keep an eye on Atmos Games’ action-adventure shooter, Twisted Tower, as previously previewed by Harrison during Gamescom.
