“Stranger Things 5”: Eduardo Franco’s Argyle Won’t Appear in the Concluding Season

Production has officially commenced for the much-anticipated “Stranger Things 5,” marking the conclusive chapter of the beloved Netflix series. A recent behind-the-scenes photo shared by Netflix showcased familiar faces like David Harbour, Millie Bobby Brown, Winona Ryder, and Maya Hawke, signaling the return of key characters. However, one notable absence from the snapshot is Eduardo Franco’s Argyle.

Introduced as a new character in “Stranger Things 4,” Argyle, the laid-back employee of Surfer Boy Pizza, played a crucial role in the California-centric events of the season. Despite winning the hearts of audiences, it seems Argyle won’t be making a return in “Stranger Things 5.”

In a revelation on the Steve Varley Show, Eduardo Franco disclosed, “I never got a phone call. So yeah, I think that’s it.” Fans of the character may be disappointed by this news.

Currently, Eduardo Franco can be seen in Hulu’s latest movie, “Self Reliance.”

The Season 4 finale set the stage for a climactic return to Hawkins, with the monster Vecna opening up the rift between Hawkins and the Upside Down. Anticipated to premiere around 2025, “Stranger Things 5” will bring the series to its final conclusion.

Despite the main series concluding, the Duffer Brothers hint at the possibility of future “Stranger Things” projects. They tease, “There are still many more exciting stories to tell within the world of Stranger Things; new mysteries, new adventures, new unexpected heroes.” Could this hint at potential spinoff shows? Only time will tell.
