“The Walking Dead Universe Expands with “The Ones Who Live” – February 2024 Premiere Announced
AMC has unveiled the official title of the much-anticipated Michonne and Rick Grimes spinoff series, now known as “The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live.” The network has also treated fans to a captivating teaser trailer, promising an epic return.
This exciting new series is set to make its debut in February 2024, as confirmed during its presentation at the New York Comic Con.
“The Ones Who Live” weaves a compelling love story between two characters forever altered by a world in constant flux. Separated by physical distance and the unrelenting forces that reshape their reality, they grapple with the specters of their former selves. And yes, fans will be delighted to know that Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira will reprise their iconic roles.
Rick and Michonne find themselves thrust into a different realm, one defined by an unending battle against the undead and, in a more complex sense, a struggle against the living. Can they rediscover each other and the individuals they once were in a setting that defies all they’ve ever known? Are they foes, lovers, or something else entirely? Perhaps, they’ll confront the unsettling truth that in their new world, they might be just as much the Walking Dead as any of the reanimated corpses.
Leading the charge behind the scenes is Scott M. Gimple, the Chief Content Officer of The Walking Dead Universe, who serves as the showrunner and executive producer. Joining him in this exciting journey are Andrew Lincoln, Danai Gurira, Denise Huth, and Brian Bockrath.”
