Paul Wesley Not Interested in The Vampire Diaries Reboot
Paul Wesley, who played Stefan Salvatore on The Vampire Diaries for eight seasons, has said that he would not be interested in returning to the show in any capacity.
In an interview with InStyle, Wesley said that he is “so glad to put that to rest” and that he “would never do another vampire anything, period, let alone Vampire Diaries.”
Wesley also said that he is happy to be known for other roles, such as his current role as James T. Kirk in Star Trek: Strange New Worlds.
“When I get recognized, it’s because of Stefan,” Wesley said. “It’s the biggest thing I’ve ever done, as far as popularity. I’ve done a bunch of roles since The Vampire Diaries, but nothing has been nearly as popular, so I think you have to get that next thing that puts you into a conversation that involves you and not the character that you’re known for playing.”
Wesley’s comments come as there has been some speculation about a possible reboot or revival of The Vampire Diaries. However, it seems that Wesley will not be involved in any such project.
There are a few reasons why Wesley is not interested in returning to The Vampire Diaries. First, he has said that he is happy to move on from the role of Stefan and to focus on other projects. Second, he has said that he is not interested in doing another vampire role. Third, he has said that he does not think that a reboot or revival of The Vampire Diaries would be successful.
Fans of The Vampire Diaries have mixed reactions to Wesley’s comments. Some fans are disappointed that he will not be returning to the show, while others understand his decision. Some fans also believe that a reboot or revival of The Vampire Diaries would be successful, even without Wesley.
It is unclear what the future holds for Paul Wesley. He has said that he is open to doing other projects, but he has not yet announced any specific plans. He is also still filming Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, which is scheduled to return for a second season in 2023.
