We are still waiting to find out if Don Mancini’s Chucky will be returning for a fourth season, with USA and SYFY remaining tight-lipped about the series’ future at the moment. In the absence of any official word, rumors of the show’s cancellation have been swirling around social media in recent weeks, leading series star Jennifer Tilly to clear the air over on Twitter.

The good news? “Chucky” hasn’t been canceled. But it hasn’t been renewed yet either…

Tilly tweets, “Attention #Chucky fans: We appreciate your ongoing commitment to the #RenewChucky hashtag. Chucky has not been canceled, nor has it been renewedWe are just as much in the dark as you are,” the tweet continues. “As soon as we hear anything from Universal we will let you know. In the meantime, thanks ever so! Much love.”

Fellow SYFY series Reginald the Vampire was canceled earlier this month, which has Chucky fans concerned about the show’s future. But for now, we’re keeping the hope alive.

“Chucky” Season 3, meanwhile, slices onto Blu-ray on August 13, 2024.
