According to official press details from Disney, the new series draws inspiration from five of the most cherished middle-grade books in the “Goosebumps” canon, including “Say Cheese and Die!,” “The Haunted Mask,” “The Cuckoo Clock of Doom,” “Go Eat Worms!,” and “Night of the Living Dummy.”

Produced by Disney Branded Television and Sony Pictures Television, this 10-part series will kick off with an impressive five-episode drop, aligning with Disney+’s “Hallowstream” and Hulu’s “Huluween” festivities. Subsequent episodes will be released weekly. To make it even more thrilling, the series’ first two episodes are set to air on Freeform on October 13th as part of the network’s “31 Nights of Halloween” programming.

The series promises to transport viewers into a realm of enigma and suspense, as it follows a group of five high school students embarking on a dark and twisted quest to uncover the mysterious and tragic demise of a teenager named Harold Biddle, which occurred three decades earlier. Simultaneously, they unearth unsettling secrets from their parents’ past.
With Scholastic as its publisher, “Goosebumps” is one of the best-selling book series in history, boasting over 400 million books in print, translated into 32 languages.
The stellar cast of “Goosebumps” includes Justin Long (“Barbarian”), Rachael Harris (“Lucifer”), and newcomers Zack Morris (“EastEnders”), Isa Briones (“Star Trek: Picard”), Miles McKenna (“Guilty Party”), Ana Yi Puig (“Gossip Girl”), and Will Price (“The Equalizer”).
The series was developed and is executive produced by Nicholas Stoller (“The Muppets”) and Rob Letterman (“Pokémon Detective Pikachu”), alongside Hilary Winston (“Community”), Neal H.
