AMC and AMC+ are gearing up for the highly anticipated release of “Interview with the Vampire” Season 2, set to premiere on Sunday, May 12. This week, AMC unveiled the full official trailer for the upcoming season.
Based on the timeless horror novel by Anne Rice, “Interview with the Vampire” features a stellar cast including Jacob Anderson, Sam Reid, Eric Bogosian, Assad Zaman, Delainey Hayles, and Ben Daniels.
The narrative picks up in Season 2 as the enthralling interview between vampire Louis de Pointe du Lac (portrayed by Anderson) and journalist Daniel Molloy (played by Bogosian) continues. Set in the year 2022, Louis recounts his tumultuous life story, beginning with the bloody events in 1940s New Orleans when he and the young vampire Claudia (played by Hayles) plotted to vanquish the powerful Vampire Lestat de Lioncourt (Reid). The story then delves into Louis’ European adventures, including his quest to uncover ancient vampires and his encounters with the enigmatic Armand (played by Zaman) at the Theatre Des Vampires in Paris.
As Louis and Armand’s intense courtship unfolds, secrets emerge that have profound repercussions both in the past and present. Molloy, the probing journalist, seeks to unearth the truths hidden within Louis’ memories.
The series serves as a faithful adaptation of Anne Rice’s iconic gothic horror novel, originally published in 1976. It chronicles the centuries-old vampire Louis de Pointe du Lac’s captivating tale and his complex familial dynamics within the vampire world.
“Anne Rice’s Interview With the Vampire” is brought to life by executive producers Mark Johnson, Showrunner Rolin Jones, Mark Taylor, Christopher Rice, and the late Anne Rice herself.
