First Look at Jenna Ortega in ‘Wednesday’ Season 2
Just days after Wednesday Addams took center stage at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade with her own float, Netflix has confirmed that Wednesday Season 2 has officially wrapped production. Along with the announcement, they shared the first official image of Jenna Ortega back in character as the iconic Wednesday Addams for the highly anticipated season. The new season is set to debut on Netflix sometime in 2025.
Ortega returns as the titular character, with Luis Guzmán and Catherine Zeta-Jones reprising their roles as Gomez and Morticia Addams. A major new addition to the cast is Lady Gaga, who has signed on for a role in the upcoming season.
The Wednesday Season 2 cast also includes Joy Sunday as Bianca, Joanna Lumley as Grandmama, Emma Myers as Enid, Steve Buscemi as Barry Dort, Billie Piper as Capri, and Thandiwe Newton as Dr. Fairburn, along with Hunter Doohan, Victor Dorobantu, Moosa Mostafa, Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo, Georgie Farmer, Isaac Ordonez, Evie Templeton, Owen Painter, and Noah Taylor.
Guest stars include Jamie McShane, Frances O’Connor, Haley Joel Osment, Heather Matarazzo, Joonas Suotamo, Fred Armisen, and Christopher Lloyd. Notably, Lloyd, who played Uncle Fester in the 1990s Addams Family films, will appear alongside Armisen, who plays Fester in the Wednesday series.
Wednesday is a supernatural mystery series that follows Wednesday Addams during her years at Nevermore Academy. The story tracks her efforts to master her emerging psychic abilities, stop a monstrous killing spree that plagues the local town, and uncover a supernatural mystery linked to her parents from 25 years ago—all while navigating complex new relationships.
Alfred Gough and Miles Millar (Smallville) serve as the writers and showrunners, with Tim Burton executive producing and directing several episodes in Season 1.
While details about Season 2 remain scarce, Jenna Ortega has teased that it will be “bolder” and “darker” than the first season. “We’ve decided we want to lean into the horror more,” Ortega shared last year.
