Mark your calendars for the series premiere on February 25, 2024, airing on AMC and AMC+. Don’t forget to catch the final trailer above.
Danai Gurira expressed her excitement about the series, stating, “Itâs a really exciting story to tell.” Andrew Lincoln teased, “Our ambition is to have some answers,” while Gurira acknowledged the unique and intense love shared between the iconic characters from the main “Walking Dead” series.
“The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live” unfolds as an epic love story, portraying two characters transformed by a world in upheaval, separated by distance, an unstoppable force, and the echoes of their past selves.
Rick and Michonne find themselves in a new world, entrenched in a battle against the dead and, ultimately, a war against the living. The series raises questions: Can they reunite and rediscover their former selves in an unprecedented setting? Are they adversaries or lovers? Do they remain alive without each other, or will they realize that they, too, are the Walking Dead?
Showrunner and executive producer duties are led by Scott M. Gimple, Chief Content Officer of The Walking Dead Universe, alongside Andrew Lincoln, Danai Gurira, Denise Huth, and Brian Bockrath.
In addition to this thrilling series, fans can anticipate second seasons for “Dead City” and “Daryl Dixon.” The latter show’s second season is subtitled “The Book of Carol,” adding another layer of excitement to the expanding “Walking Dead” universe.
