The second season of the horror-comedy series “Shining Vale” is nearing its conclusion, with the second-to-last episode titled “Coven” set to debut this week. Prior to the new episode’s release, Bloody Disgusting has shared a clip that hints at a theme of maternal violence.

In the upcoming episode, “Pat grapples with unsettling revelations about her book. Meanwhile, Terry finds new purpose in a significant life change. Gaynor faces being ghosted by her boyfriend, and Jake breaks free from his seclusion.”

The shared clip portrays a visibly pregnant Pat (played by Courteney Cox) envisioning expressing her frustrations physically towards her children after receiving a slap from her mother (portrayed by Judith Light). Notably, Pat adopts a new appearance, reminiscent of Rosemary Woodhouse from “Rosemary’s Baby.”

“Shining Vale” features Courteney Cox, Greg Kinnear, and Mira Sorvino in leading roles. The show’s first season introduced the dysfunctional Phelps family, who sought an escape from their issues by relocating to a Victorian mansion in a small Connecticut town, unaware of its potential haunting. As the plot unfolds, Pat encounters Rosemary, a demon who takes over her life. Subsequently, the family intervenes, leading to Pat’s confinement in a psychiatric hospital. Season two resumes four months later, as Pat’s insurance coverage expires, and she returns home to mend her fractured family dynamics, encountering eerie resemblances and unraveling the mansion’s dark secrets.

The series also stars Gus Birney, Merrin Dungey, Dylan Gage, Judith Light, Allison Tolman, and Sherilyn Fenn. Produced by Warner Bros. Television and Lionsgate Television in collaboration with Other Shoe Productions, Merman, and Kapital Entertainment, “Shining Vale” is executive produced by Jeff Astrof, Sharon Horgan, Clelia Mountford, and Aaron Kaplan. Courteney Cox serves as both a producer and a cast member.

Viewers can catch new episodes on STARZ at 9 PM ET/PT in the U.S. and Canada, with subsequent availability on the STARZ app and streaming platforms weekly on Fridays at midnight. The episodes will also air on the STARZ linear platform every week.
