The next part of “Cruel Summer,” which is set in a picturesque waterfront community in the Pacific Northwest, charts the rise and breakdown of a close teenage friendship. The season takes unexpected turns as it follows the early friendship between Megan, Isabella, and Megan’s best friend Luke, the burgeoning love triangle, and the mystery that would have an impact on all of their lives in the future.
Sadie Stanley, Lexi Underwood, Griffin Gluck, KaDee Strickland, Lisa Yamada, Sean Blakemore, and Paul Adelstein are among the new cast members.
The new showrunner for the second season is Elle Triedman.
A gorgeous and popular teen goes missing over the course of three summers in the ’90s, and an apparently unrelated girl changes from a lovely and awkward outlier to the most popular girl in town before ultimately becoming the most hated person in America.
