‘Castlevania: Nocturne’ Trailer Shows Richter Belmont Beheading, and Eviscerating Monsters in Gore-Filled Action

The Castlevania franchise is coming back to Netflix with a brand new animated series, Castlevania: Nocturne. The series will focus on the origin story of Richter Belmont, the descendant of the Belmont family and one of the most beloved characters in the franchise.

Castlevania: Nocturne is set during the French Revolution, and it will see Richter team up with Maria Renard and Saint Germain to fight against vampires and other creatures. The series is being produced by Powerhouse Animation, the same studio that produced the critically acclaimed Castlevania series.

The series is led by showrunner Kevin Kolde and Creator/Writer Clive Bradley. Produced by Project 51 Productions with production services provided by Powerhouse Animation.

The series will premiere on Netflix on September 28, 2023. An early digital premiere will be held on Twitch and YouTube on September 27.
