Emmy-Winning Writer, Producer, and Director Manny Coto Dies at 62
Manny Coto, a writer, producer, and director who worked on several hit TV series and horror films, died on Sunday after a battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 62.
Coto was born in Havana, Cuba, and grew up loving Star Trek and Super-8 moviemaking. In the late 1990s, Coto began working on more mainstream TV series, including “24,” “Dexter,” and “American Horror Story.” He won a Primetime Emmy Award for his work on “24” in 2006.
